Wokingham Foodbank works in partnership with Trussell Trust to offer critical emergency support to households across the borough, distributing over 5000 food parcels last year. Trussell Trust extended this impact nationwide, distributing more than 3.1 million parcels across UK food banks. These numbers highlight a stark reality, our current social security system falls short of meeting basic living standards. A fairer system is urgently needed to ensure that everyone has enough to live on, reducing the reliance on emergency food aid.

First days Children’s Charity is our chosen charity for 2026
We help families in two ways: we give children all the essential items they need to be safe at home and confident at school, as well as opportunities to have fun! Then, we work with parents to help them find ways to change their lives for good. We believe that there is no place in society for charities like ours, and we would like to close our doors for good because there is no need in our community.
Until that time we will continue to be at the place where compassion meets action.
